  • Grand Rapids' Living Room WIP I recently picked up a mural commission through Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. with my friend Joe. We will be painting the tunnel I talked about in the above section. Our idea is to paint the people of GR for a park we’re dubbing “GR’s Living Room”. We set up a photo booth and took about 170 photos of different people. We are going to choose them at random and draw them into our upcoming mural. These are just sample drawings for the time being.   • Great Fish Toss Game I was attending a beer making and tasting class when my notes turned into doodles. I drew the guy who was sitting in front of me and then imagined him being hit in the face with a fish. After class I went home and decided to turn my sketch into a finished piece and this is what came out of it.   • FOUND Magazine Editorial Illustrations This is an editorial piece I did for FOUND Magazine. The story is about a gay couple in New York City who found a baby at a subway station which they ended up adopting. The couple were initially nervous about adopting because they thought their sexual orientation would cause some hangups in the system but the judge who handled the case pushed it through with no resistence.   • High Five Co-op/Mitten Collaboration Wob and Jason, the brewers from Mitten Brewing Co. in Grand Rapids, MI, brew two batches in one day on a regular basis. After one of those days, Wob said, "Man all I want to do is sit in a hot tub right now!" To which I responded, "Well, you can go hop in the brew kettle!"

  • grrRoPoLis Album Cover Michael Cunningham, the lead singer of grrRoPoLis, approached me for this album cover with a strange request. "I want a giraffe with a camera for a head." I produced exactly that for him and exceeded his expectations, especially with the addition of the tri-pod legs.
